Here’s a look at how to watch Friday’s NFL preseason game between the New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers online.
For most teams, the 2016 NFL preseason is already halfway over. With the regular season starting on Sept. 8, teams are beginning to finalize their rosters. Players are either being told they’re making their respective organization’s squad, or being released. This may be the case with some following the Patriots vs. Panthers game on Aug. 26.
The Patriots head into Friday night’s contest 2-0 this preseason. They haven’t had Tom Brady take one snap, even though he’s suspended for the first four games of the season. Expected starter Jimmy Garoppolo and Jacoby Brissett have received all the looks at quarterback, and should continue to do so against Carolina.
New England also recently popped up in the transaction headlines, as they traded center Bryan Stork to the Washington Redskins. He had been the starter under Bill Belichick for their 2015 Super Bowl team.
The Panthers stand 1-1 going into their third preseason game. They most recently defeated the Tennessee Titans, 26-16.
In that game, Cam Newton got a decent look, completing eight passes for 162 yards and one touchdown. The rushing game had been nonexistent, however, as Carolina only rushed for 53 yards on 21 carries. Will someone step up as the rosters continue to be trimmed on Friday?
