With the 2016 college football season approaching, who are the 15 best freshmen who’ll have the biggest impact on their respective teams?

Every year, a new crop of freshman collegiate football players takes the nation by storm and become the next wave of potential All-Americans. One reason why college football is so great is that guys who have never stepped foot on a college campus before can come in and start right away and become instant stars.

Overnight sensations are the most exciting types of players and every program has its own set of first-year players who can take over as freshmen and become stars.

This year, there are a ton of guys who could come in and start right away for their respective programs, and I’m not talking about smaller schools. Programs such as Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama, Texas, Michigan State and UCLA, among others, have top-tier prospects who are expected to take the reins early and never look back.

Ohio State and Alabama have been dominating the recruiting ranks recently. It seems like each season the Crimson Tide and Buckeyes are No. 1 and No. 2 in the team recruiting rankings, respectively, and the foreseeable future isn’t much different. Urban Meyer is a premier recruiter and Nick Saban is — well, Nick Saban.

The 2016 season will have plenty of freshman studs coming to the surface and we might be in for one of the most exciting seasons in recent memory. Who are the top 15 freshmen who’ll have the biggest impact in 2016?
