Joel Embiid viciously swats the shot of a young child (Video)

We don’t know yet if Joel Embiid is fully ready for the NBA regular season, but he’s ready to destroy this little kid’s dreams

You know, it must be one hell of a thrill when you’re a little kid and you get to drive the hoop against an NBA star. Then, chances are, since you’re the little kid, you’re going to get to hit the shot and have that memory live on forever. Yeah, well, Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid apparently cares nothing for that.

The 76ers held their Beach Bash on Saturday, and at one point during the festivities, Embiid let a young man drive the hoop on him, lifting up all hope that he had of creating a nice memory for himself. It looked as if Embiid was ready to be the nice guy here but … NOPE.

When it was time to take the shot, Embiid broke out those shot blocking skills of his, sending the ball right into the people and probably ruining this young man forever.

Now come on, man, that’s just cold! How you gonna embarrass the little man like that. Although, all joking aside, that little guy does have some serious ball handling skills. He might not be able to get a shot over an NBA player just yet, but if he keeps working, this dude might have quite the future in the sport of basketball.

This year, though, it’s time to finally see whether or not Embiid can play like that on an actual NBA court. All signs are pointing to him finally kicking that injury bug of his and making an appearance for the 76ers when the season starts in just a few months here in 2016. Everyone, especially in the city of Philadelphia, has been eagerly anticipating his debut for quite some time now.
