The Dallas Cowboys should take a long look at these six veteran quarterbacks that are available.

Bad news has struck the Dallas Cowboys yet again. After Tony Romo suffered a back injury in the third preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night, it appears the injury is worse than it appeared. The Cowboys announced on Saturday that Romo has a broken bone in his back and will miss a good portion of the season.

They’re optimistic he can come back at some point this season, but with his string of health issues, things currently don’t look great. While Dak Prescott has been exceptional in the preseason, they are placing their hopes on a rookie quarterback. That’s a tall task for any team and Prescott is going to be relied heavily upon.

However, there’s a real concern with the Cowboys’ roster and that is the depth at quarterback. Kellen Moore has already been lost for the year and the team only has Jameill Showers behind him at quarterback. That means that the Cowboys are going to need to go out and get a veteran to put behind Prescott.

The bad news is that there isn’t much available for the team to work with right now. The good news is that roster cuts are coming up, so they might be able to find something a little more appeasing. For now, though, the Cowboys should consider these six guys as viable options to look at.
