The Denver Broncos may want to start stocking Trevor Siemian jerseys for purchase on their official team site.
The Denver Broncos signed quarterback Mark Sanchez in the off-season with the expectation that he would be the team’s starter. After Brock Osweiler bolted for the Houston Texans, the team figured Sanchez could bridge the gap until their next franchise quarterback. The team also drafted Paxton Lynch, giving them a nice young prospect to groom at the position.
The only remaining quarterback from their Super Bowl winning team was Trevor Siemian, who was pretty much a no-name outside of Denver. Siemian appeared in one game last season, taking a knee, but gaining great experience behind future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning.
During the preseason, Siemian has actually wrestled the starting quarterback position away from Sanchez, who has looked horrible at times for the Broncos. Siemian has been steady throughout the summer, and with his start on Saturday, pretty much locked up the starting gig heading into the regular season.
For those fans looking to purchase the jersey of their team’s starting quarterback, they will have to have a custom one made up. The Broncos do not list Siemian on the list of players that can be bought, so fans of the young signal-caller are out of luck. He is sure to be added at some point, but for now, only four quarterback jerseys are available for purchase.
Those four are Manning, Lynch, Sanchez, and John Elway. The team may want to swap those Sanchez jerseys out for Siemian, if they want to make some money on their official team site.

For the Broncos, Siemian is definitely not the long-term answer at the position, but he can be serviceable enough to win games. Denver has arguably the best defense in the AFC, and just needs someone to take care of the ball under center. Sanchez has a history of being unable to do that, so the franchise will turn to Siemian until Lynch is ready to take over.
