As a member of the Texas Rangers now, Carlos Beltran has some pretty weird things going on with his hair

We all know by now that the New York Yankees have always had a pretty strict grooming policy. So, when players leave the team, they tend to make some changes to their appearance, some understandable like growing a beard and some not so understandable — like what we saw from Carlos Beltran on Sunday.

Beltran, who was recently traded by the Yankees as they look to get younger to the Texas Rangers, was spotted on Sunday sporting some really odd hair. As a matter of fact, you remember what Carlos Boozer did to his hair that one time where it looked like a bottle of spray paint blew up on his skull?

Yeah, well, it’s pretty much that.

So … yeah, that’s a pretty odd choice. But again, you know the Yankees have a strict policy on stuff like this, so maybe this is something that he always wanted to do and just realized that he can pull it off now that he’s not in the Bronx anymore.

Or, who knows, Beltran is up there in age, so maybe this is a kinda mid-life crisis thing. He thinks that he’s trying his best to be hip with the times, but in reality he probably has no idea that everyone is belly laughing over the very sight of his head. And, well, maybe he doesn’t care what you think at all.

It’s certainly an odd decision, but hey, he’s sitting pretty on a team now that likely will win the American League West, so he can do whatever he wants with his hair, because he might have a World Series trophy in his near future.
