It doesn’t take football fans long to figure out the NFL Preseason is mostly meaningless.  However, if you’re gearing up for your fantasy football drafts later this week, there have been some developments the last few weeks you definitely need to be aware of.  As you get your cheat sheets prepped and ready, don’t forget to make sure to keep an eye on these fantasy football sleepers who have taken big steps forward this preseason.

Unfortunately some of these fantasy football sleepers will get their shot due to injury.  It’s important to know who will get a chance to step up when players go down, and it was a costly “dress rehearsal” in week 3 for some teams as doors of opportunities opened for some of these options.

Included with each of these sleepers is their latest ADP (average draft position) according to fantasypros.com Consensus ADP. I’ve also listed when I think you should target them in order to maximize their value as sleepers going into your fantasy football season. Sleepers only help you if you can get them at the right price.  Over-paying for fantasy football sleepers that never wake up is a sure-fire way to set yourself up for a season of disappointment.

Remember, each of the players on the following slides are fantasy football sleepers. Inherent with giving a player that title is the understanding that there is risk involved in adding them to your team. Make sure not to over-reach on any one of them or to stock your team with too many risky options so that even if half of them hit the other half drag you down. While I like some of the following options as end-of-the-draft flier picks, don’t get to infatuated with their perceived upside and miss out on a more proven option.

That being said, these are players who had big Preseason Week 3 performances or are in a different position than they were a few days ago. If you can get them at the right price in your DFS Week 1 competition or your fantasy football draft, I think they’ll end up producing good fantasy points for affordable investment.
