Tajae Sharpe-WR-Tennessee Titans

Another player who has been on a bunch of my list of fantasy football sleepers throughout the preseason has been Tajae Sharpe.  Sharpe is also headed into his rookie year after being drafted by the Titans out of UMass. He has had a big training camp and preseason and earned his way into a contributing role.

Sharpe progressed so quickly that the Titans traded away last year’s rookie disappointment Dorial Green-Beckham to the Eagles. With DGB traded away, Sharpe is lined up to start opposite free agent signee Rishard Matthews with Kendall Wright working out of the slot.

Sharpe played that role well in Preseason Week 3.  He only ended up with one catch, but he made the most of his reception breaking out for 60 yards. Sharpe even played ahead of Matthews in one-receiver sets, and he looks ready for a busy season.

He had his original breakout in Preseason Week 2 catching six passes for 68 yards.  He has developed a quick connection with starting QB Marcus Mariota. The Titans will be a rush-heavy attack, but even with a low-volume of passes Sharpe should be a nice value.

Coming into the busiest week of fantasy drafts, Sharpe is still going in the 20th round as the 62nd wide receiver taken.  If you can add him as your fifth wide receiver toward the end of your draft, he could end up being a huge depth addition to your WR corps.  He also could be nice trade bait if the rest of your receivers come through and you end up with an excess.
