Kevin Owens wins WWE Universal title after Triple H turns on Seth Rollins: Twitter implodes

Kevin Owens became the new WWE Universal Champion with the help of Triple H turning on Seth Rollins and Twitter couldn’t handle it

Just when you think you’ve seen everything in a WWE ring, a night like Monday, August 29 happens. Specifically, a main event like the one from WWE RAW happens in Houston, TX. Everyone knew that the next Universal Champion would be decided in the main event. The question, though, was whether it’d be Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins, or Big Cass holding the belt.

Big Cass was the first to be eliminated, but that was just when things were getting started. In a fantastic match, it finally seemed as if Roman was about to get the win. That when the unthinkable started, though, as Triple H appeared.

Triple H started his path of destruction by hitting a Pedigree on Reigns. He then rolled Roman back into the ring and essentially put Rollins on top of him. That eliminated THE Guy. It then looked like Triple H was about to eliminate Kevin Owens as well. However, he had other plans.

Instead, Trips turned and kicked Rollins in the gut, then hitting him with a Pedigree. A shocked Owens didn’t know what to do seemingly. However, he found it within himself to cover Rollins for the 1-2-3. That’s right, Kevin Owens is now the WWE Universal Champion. Not only is that a great sign for WWE RAW, but now there are so many stories to tell also.
