With everyone talking about the Colin Kaepernick situation, ESPN anchor Stan Verrett gave his take on it all on SportsCenter

The news that has taken over the NFL world for the better part of the past few days has undoubtedly surrounded Colin Kaepernick. The San Francisco 49ers quarterback recently explained why he refuses to stand for the national anthem before the games, which of course has drawn a lot of reactions, either with him or against him.

One man who gave his take on the situation is SportsCenter anchor Stan Verrett. While anchors on the popular ESPN show don’t normally provide their takes on anything for the most part, Verrett took the time out to explain why he does stand for the national anthem.

You can watch the explanation below.

Another take on the situation that has captivated the NFL and sports world, and definitely an interesting one to say the least.

With the racial tone of the matter here, some may think that Verrett, as an African American, may take the side of Kaepernick. He does not, but he was able to provide a detailed explanation as to why he takes the side that he’s on in this matter. Surely, people may blast him for it, but this is something that comes with the territory of what Kaepernick has brought to light here over the course of this past week.
