After suffering a significant knee injury on Tuesday, Teddy Bridgewater was sent well wishes from fellow NFL players

In some pretty devastating news as the NFL regular season is almost set to begin, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater went down on Tuesday with what head coach Mike Zimmer called a “significant” knee injury. The third-year signal-caller went down with the non-contact injury and practice was brought to an abrupt end at that point as the ambulance arrived to take the offensive leader to a local hospital.

For a team that had major Super Bowl aspirations entering the season, this is about as crushing of a blow as you can get. Entering his third year, it really seemed as if another corner was going to be turned by the former Louisville standout, really putting this team in a position to be playing come February. Now, those aspirations seem all but out the window now.

Now if there is one thing that we know about the NFL, it’s that while we have some personal rivalries, it’s treated as a brotherhood. No one likes to see anyone get hurt on the football field, so when it happens, you can generally count on your NFL brothers to have your back.

With the nice guy that Bridgewater is, players from around the league flocked to send out their well wishes.

Ever since his college days down in Louisville, Bridgewater has been known as one of the nicest players in the league that you can come across, so it’s really no shock that so many of his peers have his back when he’s in one of the worst positions of his career.

Right now, there is no official diagnosis on the injury to Bridgewater, as Zimmer said earlier in his press conference that we won’t know the full extent of the injury until Tuesday night, maybe Wednesday at the latest.
