19. Houston Texans

10.
Even good defenses aren’t without their weak points. The Houston Texans are all about their front seven, which is no surprise when a team has J.J. Watt leading the way. Yet there are other good players on the unit as well including a couple quality corners in Johnathan Joseph and Kareem Jackson. Not to mention Kevin Johnson.

The one area the team has still not quite figured out is safety. Journeyman Quintin Demps and former seventh-round pick Andre Hal look like the projected starters at present. Not the most formidable looking group.

No doubt they’d love to get their hands on a talent like Eddie Jackson. Another of those cornerback-to-safety conversions that work out quite often. Jackson was an instant success when he made the move for Alabama, finishing with six interceptions en route to the national title.

He’s a true center-fielder type who can read a quarterback and track the ball in the air. Though not as dynamic in run support, he doesn’t shy away from contact. Houston wants somebody on the back end who can create plays. Jackson fits that bill.
. S. Alabama. Eddie Jackson . 19. player
