30. Arizona Cardinals

Chad Kelly . 30. player. 32.
Carson Palmer has done a tremendous job turning his career around with the Arizona Cardinals, but it’s time to start thinking about the future. He’s entering his late 30s and can’t be expected to perform at Pro Bowl levels much longer. Drew Stanton may insist the team promised him a shot at the starting job once Palmer is done, but the odds of that being the case aren’t great.

Bruce Arians is no fool. He has to know the Cardinals need to get a legitimate young talent in the pipeline if the Cardinals want to maintain their status as a contender in the long-term.

Chad Kelly is the nephew of Hall of Famer Jim Kelly and has shown he has similar genes at Ole Miss. He too has a live right arm that can deliver the ball with velocity and accuracy down the field.

Additionally, Kelly has decent mobility, able to extend plays with his feet. Another year in college will help with the finer points including his decision-making and maturation as a leader. Some have questioned whether he can be a distraction due to his arrogant disposition. A couple years learning under Arians would straighten that out real quick.
. QB. Ole Miss
