1. Jack Wilshere and Bournemouth

There simply isn’t any way to separate Jack Wilshere and new club Bournemouth as the biggest winners of transfer deadline day. Wilshere joining the Cherries on a season-long loan is just so beneficial for both parties.

For Bournemouth, it means adding some star power in the form of an England international still highly regarded, despite his decline at Arsenal. Cherries manager Eddie Howe needed a way to lift spirits after three games without a win to start the new season.

Wilshere’s arrival should provide an immediate boost for a club sitting 19th in the Premier League.

The move should also be a major fillip for Wilshere’s ailing career. He’s signed for a manager who prizes quick and intuitive, pass-and-move soccer. Bournemouth’s on-the-deck style is perfectly tailored to Wilshere’s core technical strengths.

So is a midfield currently led by skilled worker Harry Arter and shrewd deep-lying playmaker Andrew Surman. Their vision and intelligence will bring out the best in Wilshere, provided he stays humble and shows the willingness to adapt to his new teammates.

Everything is in place for Wilshere to revive his career and deliver on his obvious potential. It’s now up to the player to make the most of this ideal opportunity.
