Ecuador vs. Brazil live stream: Watch World Cup qualifying
Ecuador face Brazil in a World Cup qualifier on Thursday, Sept. 1. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Brazil are fresh of their Olympic triumph. They beat Germany on penalties for the first gold medal in the history of the men’s national team. Now, they must turn their attention to qualifying for the World Cup in 2018. The triumph in Rio meant a lot to this team, but qualifying for the World Cup is a much tougher task. Brazil are sixth in the South American qualifying group, four points behind leaders Uruguay. The biggest squad news was new manager Tite’s decision to leave out former captain Thiago Silva. Neymar will play and is expected to captain the side, while Premier League stars Willian and Philippe Coutinho should also feature.

Ecuador will be playing their first competitive match since losing to the United States in the Copa America back in June. Manchester United’s Antonio Valencia and West Ham’s Enner Valencia both make the squad. Ecuador are currently second in the South American qualifying group, four points ahead of Brazil after only six games. That will give them plenty of confidence, but Brazil may have rediscovered their mojo after finally getting the Olympic monkey off their backs.
