On Thursday, Nintendo kicked off a new Nintendo Direct with new Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon details.

The widely anticipated Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon will be releasing later this year and during a new Nintendo Direct on Thursday, new details were revealed about the game that should get the fans very excited.

We already know quite a few things about the next installment in the Pokemon franchise, such as the new Alola region, which is where the game will take place, and all the new things that the region brings. For example, the new Alolan forms.

Earlier this year, we got a new look at some familiar Pokemon, such as the new Alolan Exeguttor. Compared to its original look, the new Exeguttor is as tall as a tree and is also a Dragon-type. The new Ninetails has also evolved into an Ice/Fairy type. Many of these new Pokemon who have traveled to the Alola region have had to adapt to the new region, which is why they have changed.

The most recent reveal of a new Alolan form is Rattata. Since migrating to the Alola region, Rattata was forced to change in order to battle for its territory against Yungoos. Since its change, the new Rattata is now a Dark/Normal type Pokemon and is more of an intimidating force.

Lastly, a nice preorder bonus was revealed. When you preorder, you’ll receive a Munchlax. When this Munchlax evolves into Snorlax, you can give its own Z-move known as Pulverizing Pancake.

Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon will release on November 18, 2016, exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS.
