The first SEC game of the 2016 NCAA season will be between the South Carolina Gamecocks and Vanderbilt Commodores. Here’s how to watch in online.

Thursday, Sept. 1 will features many games to kick off the 2016 college football season. One game to keep an eye on will be the first SEC game of the year, as Will Muschamp’s South Carolina Gamecocks venture to Nashville to take on Derek Mason’s Vanderbilt Commodores in a primetime kickoff.

The game between SEC East rivals will begin at 8:00 PM ET at Vanderbilt Stadium in Nashville. ESPN will have the telecast and the available live stream can be found on WatchESPN. While neither of the teams are expected to win the SEC East, this should be an exciting game with Vanderbilt being a 3.5-point home favorite over South Carolina.

2016 will be Mason’s third year on the job in Vanderbilt. He’s done a fine job building a strong SEC defense, but will need to see improvement on the offensive side of the ball to get the Commodores back to a bowl game.

Muschamp spent 2015 as the defensive coordinator of the Auburn Tigers, and takes over what might be the worst team in the SEC. The Gamecocks went 3-9 (1-7) in Steve Spurrier’s last year in Columbia.
