Tom Brady is back under center for the Patriots final game of the NFL preseason and looks the same as always, finding Keshawn Martin for a touchdown

For the first four games of the 2016 NFL regular season, Tom Brady won’t be under-center for the New England Patriots. Jimmy Garoppolo will start at quarterback while Brady serves his suspension handed out by the NFL. However, that didn’t stop Bill Belichick from putting in old faithful at quarterback in the final game of the NFL preseason. However, it wasn’t a storybook start against the New York Giants.

Brady threw an interception on his first drive of the preseason. However, he was predictably unbothered by the mishap. Despite two drives ending with no points and another turnover (the second one a Martellus Bennett fumble), Brady was still ready to strike. As he drove the Patriots down in the red zone on the Giants, he wasn’t about to be denied again. He dropped back and found Keshawn Martin down by the right sideline in a perfect spot. There was more than enough room for him to scamper in for the seven-yard touchdown. Just Touchdown Tom scoring touchdowns; same story, just a different chapter:

Granted, that wasn’t the most beautiful play ever. However, it would appear that Tom Brady is already getting into a rhythm. However, the Patriots playing alongside him might have other problems to deal with.

In addition to the two turnovers in the first quarter, they then suffered another at the beginning of the second. Another fumble left them losing possession and once again taking the ball out of Brady’s hands. Even if this isn’t the first string, they’re going to want to remedy that sooner rather than later—especially if they want to stay afloat with Brady out to start the regular season.
