How Should We Rank The Arizona Cardinals Receivers?

The Arizona Cardinals are one of the most powerful offenses in the entire NFL. This fantasy football season there are three viable options at the receiver position that all are worth drafting. The biggest question mark remains John Brown’s health. If Brown can get back on the field, the targets will have to be divided up again since all three players (Fitzgerald, Brown, and Floyd) are worth targeting regularly.

Wide Receiver One, Two, and Three

Last season Fitzgerald finished as the tenth wide receiver, good enough to finish as a WR1. Brown finished as wide receiver number twenty three despite missing two games, putting him in the WR2 category. Rounding out the group was Michael Floyd, finishing as wide receiver thirty two. However, he did have quite a few big weeks last year. Despite how it may look, each receiver finished as the top receiver on this team at least three times last season. Shockingly, Larry Fitzgerald finished with the fewest top weeks with only three. John Brown finished with the most at nine, and Michael Floyd had the remaining four.

Who to Draft

There is no correct answer to this question because the answer is entirely dependent on what your team needs. Larry Fitzgerald can break out for a few big weeks and score as the top overall wide receiver. John Brown is the most consistent of the three, putting up numbers regularly when healthy. Michael Floyd is a balance of the two where he will either have consistent stretches or hot/cold stretches. As previously stated, any of these players are great picks based upon what your team needs.

If John Brown is Hurt

Currently John Brown is still not sure if he will be playing in week 1. If Brown misses any significant time, the value of Floyd and Fitzgerald should skyrocket. For Brown owners, I encourage you not to sell him low. It may seem like a good idea now to trade him away for a player who can start week 1 but Brown will be worth it later in the season. Trading him now at a low value is a move that is capable of dooming your fantasy season.

Verdict
Due to Arizona’s high powered offense, I highly encourage drafting at least one of these receivers. All of them are being selected in the sixth round and are worth a draft selection at that point. If Brown is on the field, he is my personal pick just due to being the most consistent in my opinion. However, if he is not healthy, Fitzgerald and Floyd only gain more value. All of the Cardinals receivers are viable options this season and I highly encourage selecting them.
