Alabama wide receiver ArDarius Stewart caught a pass and took off for a 71-yard touchdown to increase the lead over USC.

The Alabama Crimson Tide got off to a bit of a slow start against the USC Trojans. For the first 20 minutes or so, the Crimson Tide’s offense was struggling and it didn’t look good with Blake Barnett under center. Then Jalen Hurts came in and the rest became history.

After leading the Tide to a touchdown with a deep pass to ArDarius Hurts in the first half, the two connected on yet another touchdown. While Hurts found him in the end zone the first time, Stewart took it the distance himself this time. As he caught the pass from Hurts down the sideline, Stewart was off to the races with no one to beat.

The wheels officially fell off USC, after their defense was competing early on in the game. Whether it was the team losing their composure or Alabama finally finding their offense, things went bad to worse in just a matter of moments for the Trojans. The common denominators in things going from bad to worse were Hurts and Stewart.

It looks like Alabama might have found their quarterback in Hurts. They also appear to have found the dynamic connection on offense that is going to carry the team.
