Houston announcers could not hide their emotions when calling the most exciting play of the day.
No. 15 Houston has gained an even bigger lead over No. 3 Oklahoma in the second half. Momentum shifted in their favor after they took advantage of a missed Oklahoma field goal attempt. Cougars cornerback Brandon Wilson channeled the 2013 Iron Bowl by returning the kick for a 109-yard touchdown. \
This gave the Cougars a 26-17 lead over the Sooners, but they have since extended the lead to 33-17. Listen to the Houston IMG radio announcers express their excitement over this highlight-worthy play.

Houston fans certainly showed up to their hometown game. A large swarm of Cougars fans could be seen cheering for Wilson and Houston has clearly responded well to their fans showing up. They quickly went from being in danger of being down a point to being ahead by 16 points.
The Cougars will instantly enter the College Football Playoff conversation if they can seal the win. They ended last season with a 13-1 record after upsetting a heavily favored Florida State team in the Peach Bowl. Meanwhile, Oklahoma will have an opportunity to redeem themselves with a win over No. 6 Ohio State in their next matchup. It remains to be seen whether the Sooners can navigate their way through the Buckeyes. Their schedule will continue to be challenging as they face No. 13 TCU after Ohio State.
