J.T. Barrett got off to a bad start, but now he’s starting to find his groove as Ohio State takes on Bowling Green
Coming into the 2016 college football season, there are some people that see junior J.T. Barrett as one of the front runners for the Heisman. On Saturday in Ohio State’s opener against Bowling Green, he didn’t really get off to the best start, but he’s definitely picked himself up pretty well.
Barrett threw a pick-six early on in the game and Bowling Green actually took a 7-0 lead, stunning everyone in the nation. Since then, though, the Buckeyes have gotten themselves together and Barrett appears ready to shred the Falcons’ defense.
Well, on this play in the first half on Saturday, he did just that with the help of Curtis Samuel, who took the pass and went 79 yards to the house.
After that play, that 7-0 lead seems like such a long time ago, as it looks right now as if Ohio State is ready to dominate their opponent just like everyone assumed they would. They got off to a slow start, but now it might be time to run away. \

This play was a good example of the firepower that Ohio State has once again this season. Sure, Ezekiel Elliott is gone and he was one of the best backs in Ohio State history, but Samuel seems as if he’ll be just fine in that role. If he keeps making more plays like this, then the Buckeyes will be quite alright as they navigate their way through the season.
We’re just getting started here in 2016, but it looks like the Buckeyes are ready to put on another show this season.
