Kansas State receiver Isaiah Zuber made one ridiculous catch to bring the Wildcats within a touchdown of Stanford.

One of the marquee games of college football’s opening weekend featured the No. 8 Stanford Cardinal welcome the Kansas State Wildcats. This is a battle of Pac-12 vs. Big 12 schools.

Throughout the first half, Stanford controlled the game. This saw them go up 17-3 at halftime, with K-State not producing much. It included some shaky quarterback play from Jesse Ertz and Joe Hubener, who had to fill in for the former due to injury.

In the fourth quarter, the Wildcats looked to close in on Stanford’s 17-6 lead. On a possession midway through the period, KSU drove down the field and were in good position for a score at the Cardinal 15 yard line. They ended up getting a touchdown after Ertz launched touchdown pass to freshman wide receiver Isaiah Zuber, who made a terrific catch to keep possession and get his feet down. This brought the game to 17-13, with the Cardinal still leading.

Despite this positive moment for the Wildcats, Stanford quickly came back with a touchdown. Standout running back Christian McCaffrey rushed for a touchdown, and added a two-point conversion to bring the game to 26-13, which would be the final score.

As for Zuber is a talented freshman wideout for Kansas State, who could develop into a No. 1 threat for the team by the end of the 2016 season. He stands at 6-foot, 180 pounds, and should be a productive player for the team.
