NFL Draft: 5 better host cities than Philadelphia
By Jacob Yturri
No. 4: Los Angeles, California
Simply stated, Los Angeles is a sports town. The city is home to teams in all leagues, heck, it holds multiple teams from the same sport!
Los Angeles is also ready to hold the Draft. The city is filled with things to do from visiting local music hotspots, drifting around exploring the melting pot of culture, and seeing the gilded land that is Hollywood.
The reason that celebrities and athletes like Los Angeles is that the city knows how to live. The city has the nightlife and day events to keep its citizens entertained.
A city like LA also has the benefit of having excellent infrastructure. This town has the capacity to hold several sporting venues, and enough hotels to hold the people who visit these venues. If the NFL allowed LA to host the draft, the league would not have to worry about whether the city could sustain the tourism.
Another reason LA is a slam-dunk choice is that it previously held the Olympics. If the city of Los Angeles can survive the red-tape swarm that is the Olympics, then it should be able to host the NFL draft with ease.
Additionally, by not selecting this haven of entertainment, the NFL missed being able to capitalize on having football back in the second largest city in America.
