There is a GoFundMe page to get LSU Tigers head football coach Les Miles fired.

Les Miles is not a popular man right now at Louisiana State University. After losing to Wisconsin in Week One, the LSU Tigers’ struggles from 2015 are continuing in 2016. Miles has been with LSU since 2005 and he has a 112-33 record at LSU, including a 61-27 conference record.

Miles coached the Tigers to the 2007 BCS National Title and the BCS National Championship Game in 2011. However, college football is a “what have you done lately” sport. Miles hasn’t done too well lately and this has led to a GoFundMe page being created to buyout Miles’ contract.

According to the page, it will take $10 million to buy out his contract. The general response to the page has been negative, as most of it revolves around recent flooding that has left many without power and homes. So far, only $30 has been raised for the cause. In case they can’t raise $10 million, the page’s creator will donate the funds to a charity that will help the flood victims.

The page is clearly a joke, but perhaps LSU should consider firing Miles. He hasn’t done well lately and has cost LSU numerous chances to potentially win another national title. His game management decisions and affinity for trick plays have cost the Tigers numerous games in recent years. Miles has also struggled to beat Alabama and other elite programs.

LSU is a serious title contender. While Miles has taken them to heights that they previously never achieved, it appears that he has taken them as high as he can. However, the boosters still like Miles and his players love him since he’s a player’s coach. As long as those two things are true, Miles has some job security. But how long will those two things remain true if LSU keeps losing?
