The Florida State Seminoles did not look good in the first half of their game against the Ole Miss Rebels. Here’s how Twitter handled all the madness.

The Florida State Seminoles were not prepared to handle the Ole Miss Rebels in the first half of their neutral-site game in Orlando on Labor Day. This primetime nationally televised event was the last installment of a fantastic first week of the 2016 college football season.

It’s not that Ole Miss wasn’t in the same class as Florida State, as the Rebels are the No. 11 team in the country for a reason, but Seminole Nation didn’t expect to be down 28-13 at halftime in this ball game.

Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly threw three touchdown passes in the first half: two absolute darts and one where freshman wideout D.K. Metcalf bailed him out on a tip to himself.

Heisman hopeful running back Dalvin Cook completely choked on a certain touchdown pass from Deondre Francois late in the second quarter. Cook dropped the football out of bounds yards from going into the end zone untouched. Florida State failed to get a touchdown on that drive.

The Florida State faithful are panicking on Twitter. Here’s how Seminole Nation is handling themselves down 28-13 at halftime to Ole Miss.

In short, Florida State cannot believe that Ole Miss is clobbering their football team this badly. Florida State committed over 10 penalties in the first half. That is not a recipe for success for any football team, especially the No. 4 team in the nation going against the No. 11 team in the country.

Ole Miss looks like a serious threat to the Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC West this season. The Rebels should move up substantially in the AP Top 25 Poll should they continue to handle Florida State in the second half of this ACC/SEC showdown.
