OT. Alabama. Cam Robinson . 11. player. 30.
Getting Ryan Clady to take over at left tackle for D’Brickashaw Ferguson was a clever stop-gap for the New York Jets. Even so they can’t afford to rest on that solution for very long. Clady is an injury risk as history shows and the offensive line is on the older side in general.

This unit need more fresh blood and starting on the edges is never a bad thing. Clady is 30-years old and Ben IJalana doesn’t feel much like a long-term solution on the right side either. So there is little fault in the Jets seeking competition.

At present there aren’t many tackles in the 2017 class who can viewed as can’t-miss picks but Cam Robinson of Alabama is the closest. He’s had some off the field problems of late but when it comes to his ability, there is no arguing.

As a run blocker he aims to punish defenders, using his large frame and considerable power to muscle them out of the way for his running backs. That overshadows how athletic he is for his size, showing the ability to set up with good footwork and using long arms to steer pass rushers away.
