Charles Harris . 18. player. 46.
The Indianapolis Colts have been heavily reliant on older veterans and free agents to provide their pass rush the past few years. Most of their attempts in the draft haven’t worked out. Jonathan Newsome looked like he might be the answer back in 2014 but he lost his chance after being arrested for marijuana possession. Robert Mathis doesn’t have much left in the tank and Erik Walden has always been a slightly above-average rusher. This defense needs somebody who can fill the void at outside linebacker as a speed rusher.

Missouri edge man Charles Harris represents just that kind of player. Most will hone in on the fact that he’s a bit light at 240 lbs but there is no doubting his effectiveness at rushing the quarterbacks. He’s got the quickness, explosion and ability to bend around the edge without losing steam.

The fact that his hand use and array of different counter moves has made him even more effective than early in his career. He not only can rush the passer but is also a presence in the backfield against the run. No doubt he’s the three-down guy the Colts want and need.
. OLB. Missouri
