23. Vancouver Canucks

Last championship: Never

Last winning season: 2014-15

The Canucks have been to the Stanley Cup Finals three times in their 46 year history. And for each visit, they have taken the worst possible type of loss.

In their first visit in 1982, the Canucks were swept away by the New York Islanders  — this after losing two games prior throughout the entire playoffs. When they returned in 1994, they lost in game seven to the New York Rangers, before replicating that feat again in 2010, when the Bruins shut them out on home ice to win the Cup in seven.

All the while, the Canucks have remained a team stuck in neutral, save for the occasional sprint for ill-fated glory. They are among the most expensive tickets in all of hockey, next to only the Toronto Maple Leafs. In fact, there are actually stories of Vancouver fans buying season tickets for the Florida Panthers, because it was cheaper to their team (even with airfare) than had they bought a package for the Canucks.

For a team that is rewarding its supporters recently with alternating trips in and out of the playoffs, it’s high time Vancouver start rewarding its fans with a bit more bang for their bucks.
