Denver Broncos cornerback Chris Harris Jr. made an incredible interception against Cam Newton.

If the first half of the game belonged to the Carolina Panthers’ defense, the Denver Broncos took the second half. With the Broncos trailing by 10 coming into the second half, their defense stepped up the intensity and brought the fight. If they weren’t getting after Cam Newton, the secondary was making big plays instead.

One of those plays came courtesy of Chris Harris Jr., who made an incredible diving interception. As the Panthers were looking to go on a long drive to rebound from letting up a touchdown, a tipped ball hung long enough in the air for Harris Jr. to dive and snag.

What makes this incredible is the way that he was able to get his arms under the ball and keep it from hitting the ground. That’s just a great interception and awareness from one of the best cornerbacks in football. It was an incredibly difficult play to make, but he came up big when his team needed it.

To make things even better for the Broncos, a personal foul against Carolina would give Denver another 15 yards after the interception. If the intensity wasn’t there early from Denver, it was there late.
