The 10 best bets for Week 2 of the college football season.

The first weekend of the 2016 college football season was, by all accounts, incredible. There were epic games, highlighted by Notre Dame-Texas on Sunday evening, and phenomenal performances, but most importantly, we utterly dominated in this space.

Don’t believe me? Well, the evidence is just one click away and our picks came within a few yards of being flawless over a 10-game sample. Here is where we stand through one week of making picks against the spread:

  • Last Week: 9-1
  • Season: 9-1

Now, it is time unleash Week 2 on the world, and while 9-1 is not a reasonable expectation in any way, we will do our best to repeat a winning performance. Let’s roll.

Wyoming (+25) over Nebraska

Wyoming isn’t a team I’d normally pick away from home, as the Cowboys have a track record of sneaking up on people in their own building and underachieving elsewhere. However, this is a play firmly against Nebraska. The Huskers did look solid in a 33-point win over Fresno State, but this will be a sleepy, early kick-off in Lincoln and I’m banking on a slow start for the home team. Give me the candy and fade the public.

Duke and Wake Forest UNDER 44.5 points

Wake Forest is an epic “under” team and I almost don’t care how low the totals are set. The Demon Deacons got a win in the opener by a final score of 7-3, and even with Duke scoring 49 points in their first contest, I’m not scared away. Wake’s defense is legitimate and their offense is horrid. It may be closer to the total than the first game in Winston-Salem, but I feel quite confident in this one.

Next: Kentucky/Florida and Navy/UConn
