Here are the betting odds and trends for the game between the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers on Monday night.

The NFL begins each season with two Monday Night Football games to begin the year. The first game is always the classic East Coast game, while the latter always takes place out west. The latter game this year takes place between the returning Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers. These two rivals are ready to reignite what was one of the best football rivalries back in the day.

Every time the Rams and 49ers get together on the field, it always is an unpredictable game. The Vegas spread has the Rams as three-point favorites. However, the 49ers proved in Week 1 of the season last year, that they can pull off the upset at home.

This is a tough spread to bet on and unless you’re absolutely sure, it’s one to stay away from. Both teams are starting quarterbacks that aren’t seen as the future of the franchise and therefore mistakes could and will happen. It’s going to come down to which defense can force the most mistakes on the field.

The likely money says Los Angeles is the bet to make here, but don’t sleep on San Francisco either. The first quarter or so should be a telling sign of which team is going to be taking the field that night.
