Adoree Jackson takes punt 79 yards to the house (Video)

Adoree Jackson joined in on USC’s bid to bounce back from a humiliating loss to Alabama with an incredible touchdown.

USC cornerback Adoree Jackson is well-known for his versatility since he can play both corner and wide receiver. He also has an advantage when it comes to making highlight plays due to his incredible speed. Jackson put his speed to good use by returning a punt 79 yards for a touchdown. This gave the Trojans a 31-0 third-quarter lead over Utah State in their home opener.

Jackson made the All-Pac-12 first team last season. This touchdown will certainly help his chances to become an All-American defensive back or return specialist. Jackson’s bio reveals that he was the only player in the nation to put up 600 kick return yards, 400 receiving yards, 200 punt return yards and 30 tackles.

"USC 31, Utah State 0.@AdoreeKnows takes it to the house! His third career punt return TD. #FightOn #BeatTheAggies https://t.co/NXqteFajQB— USC Trojans (@USC_Athletics) September 10, 2016"

The Trojans are clearly focused on putting their embarrassing loss to Alabama behind them. They suffered a 52-6 defeat in their season opener. This marked the worst season opener loss in Trojan football history, but they have responded to adversity well thus far. The Trojans still seem to be a talented team capable of posting another winning record judging by this game.

While the Trojans are obviously not ready to compete with teams like Alabama, they will never be an easy matchup for their Pac-12 opponents. Jackson’s versatility will always strike fear in opposing teams too, especially after that touchdown return.

Head coach Clay Helton will look to continue proving that he belongs after winning over the Trojans fan base last season with a win over UCLA. The Trojans’ schedule will continue to be difficult, though. Their next game will be against No. 7 Stanford on the road.
