Western Kentucky vs Alabama live stream: Watch Hilltoppers vs Crimson Tide online
Here’s how you can watch Saturday’s Western Kentucky vs Alabama live stream from Tuscaloosa online.
Is it really any surprise that the Alabama Crimson Tide began the season just how they ended 2015? Nick Saban and the Tide had no problem discarding the No. 20 USC Trojans on the same field they crushed Michigan State in the Cotton Bowl last season.
The Crimson Tide defeated USC 52-6, showing absolutely no mercy, and this comes a season after losing the Heisman winner (Derrick Henry) as well as their starting quarterback, Jacob Coker. This program is built to last and many believe they’re going to run away with the national title yet again.
Alabama accosted the Trojans thanks to a strong first career start from former four-star dual-threat Jalen Hurts. The freshman passed for 118 yards and two touchdowns with a pick on 6-of-11 completions while rushing for 32 yards and two more scores on nine carries.
Bo Scarbrough entered the game with the most hype but finished with just 36 rushing yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, Damien Harris added 138 yards in an impressive breakout performance. Surprisingly, Calvin Ridley caught just two passes for nine yards.
Western Kentucky opened the year without one of the school’s all-time great quarterbacks, Brandon Doughty. He passed for over 10,000 yards during his career and led the Hilltoppers to a successful 2015 campaign.
The Hilltoppers still had a solid win, defeating Rice 46-14 behind the arm of South Florida transfer Mike White who finished 25-of-31 with 517 yards and three touchdowns. Taywan Taylor and Nicholas Norris combined for 12 receptions for 312 yards and two touchdowns.
Can they have another solid game against Alabama in week two? The Crimson Tide defense allowed just 194 total yards against USC.
