Arsenal faces Southampton at Emirates Stadium on Saturday. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Arsenal, sitting in eighth place, finally got a Premier League win two weeks ago. The only problem was that it was their third match of the 2016-17 campaign.
Arsene Wenger finally opened the checkbook and signed a defender — Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia — and a striker — Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna — to address the two biggest problem areas in his starting XI. Arsenal fans will hope the combination of a much-needed win and much-needed signings will propel the Gunners up the league table.
Southampton is still looking for their first win of the season, drawing twice and losing away to Manchester United. The Saints are currently in 16th place, and will be keen on wrestling Arsenal to at least a draw – they’ve held the Gunners scoreless over their last three meetings. Defender Ryan Bertrand looks set to makes his first Premier League appearance of the season after being out with a knee injury.
