Both the Chicago Bears and Houston Texans have their share of defensive standouts. Which offensive players will make your fantasy lineups a reality when it comes to winning?

In what could be one of the more intriguing matchups of opening weekends, a pair of teams that got off to slow starts in 2015 hope to carry their second-half surges into this season.

However, it is fantasy football time and here are our thoughts on the top five selections in this matchup between the Chicago Bears and Houston Texans. And we start things off with a newcomer to the NFL.

5. WR Braxton Miller, Houston Texans

If you got an opportunity to see the one-time Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback/turned wide receiver during the summer, you realized that the still-developing pass-catcher won’t be ignored during his rookie campaign.

The Houston Texans did a makeover of major proportion this offseason when it came to bolstering the NFL’s 19th-ranked offense of 2015. Of course, when you wind up starting four different quarterbacks in 16 games, how much continuity can you be expecting?

That figures to change with fifth-year pro Brock Osweiler, who started the final seven regular-season games for the eventual Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos a year ago. Now he’s under the guidance of quarterback guru Bill O’Brien, who has done wonders with six different starting signal-callers and a total of eight different quarterbacks in two seasons. His record is 18-14 and his players have combined for 49 touchdown passes and 25 interceptions.

Back to Osweiler, who will make early use of rookie wideout Braxton Miller in lieu of a reliable tight end (sorry, C.J. Fiedorowicz).

In three preseason outings, the former Buckeye was targeted 13 times and caught 10 passes for 97 yards. He could wind up getting you some points if you’re in a PPR (points per reception) league. While he may not lead the Texans in catches in 2016 with star DeAndre Hopkins around, you can expect him to be a nice option for Osweiler and give the team more than 47 receptions this season – which O’Brien and company got from veteran wideout Nate Washington last year (second-most on the team).
