The latest information for the 2016 NFL Week 1 DirecTV channels for all the games available.

NFL Week 1 for the 2016-17 season is officially here! With that comes a slew of games heading to television screens, tablets, laptops or other devices for avid football fans. For those who have the DirecTV service with NFL Sunday Ticket, there will be many DirecTV channels each offering different games.

Week 1 kicks off on Thursday, Sept. 8 with a Super Bowl 50 rematch. The Carolina Panthers will visit the reigning champion Denver Broncos. Game time is 8:30 p.m. Eastern Time. This particular game is available across the country via NBC, so it will be available exclusively on that channel.

However, the bulk of the Week 1 games will take place on Sunday, Sept. 11. Games will start as early as 1 p.m. Eastern Time with nine matchups at that time. There are four more games after that, with one starting at 4:05 p.m. ET, two at 4:25 p.m. ET and then a Sunday Night Football game. That game, featuring the Patriots at the Cardinals, will be shown on NBC exclusively.

  • Green Bay Packers at Jacksonville Jaguars (1 p.m. ET) ch. 711
  • Oakland Raiders at New Orleans Saints (1 p.m. ET) ch. 712
  • Minnesota Vikings at Tennessee Titans (1 p.m. ET) ch. 713
  • Miami Dolphins at Seattle Seahawks (4:05 p.m. ET) ch. 714
  • New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys (4:25 p.m. ET) ch. 715
  • Detroit Lions at Indianapolis Colts (4:25 p.m. ET) ch. 716

On Monday, Sept. 12, will be several Monday Night Football games. At 7:10 p.m. Eastern Time, the Pittsburgh Steelers visit the Washington Redskins. At 10:20 p.m. ET, the Los Angeles Rams visit the San Francisco 49ers. Both of these games will be televised on ESPN.
