The Louisville Cardinals have one dynamic quarterback in sophomore Lamar Jackson. Here are all five of Jackson’s touchdowns versus the Syracuse Orange.

The Louisville Cardinals were able to defeat fellow ACC Atlantic foe Syracuse Orange 62-28 at the Carrier Dome on Friday night thanks to the outstanding play of sensational sophomore quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Jackson was everything for the Cardinals offense in a high octane game for both ACC schools. He was one yard shy of becoming the first player in FCS history to throw for over 400 yards and rush for over 200 yards in the same game.

Jackson ended up with 411 passing yards, completing 20-39 attempts for one touchdown and an interception. His first touchdown of the game came on a ridiculous 72-yard play-action fake on the first play from scrimmage. He should have had more passing yards, but his teammates couldn’t stop coughing up the football.

On the ground is where Jackson did most of his damage. He rushed 21 times for 199 yards and four rushing touchdowns. His third touchdown against Syracuse was his second 72-yard score, this time rushing, as Jackson thrived running the read option against an overly aggressive Orange defense.

Jackson did most of his damage for Louisville in the first quarter, as four of his five touchdowns came in the first 15 minutes. Here’s a look at all of them:

Despite the game being played indoors at the Carrier Dome, the temperature inside was a factor. Players might not have been prepared for the 80-plus degree heat in this road environment. This could have been a cause of Louisville’s sloppy play as the game wore on.

Still, Jackson’s fifth touchdown was one of the best highlights of the 2016 NCAA season so far. With almost no chance at a rushing touchdown on a first and goal from the Syracuse 10-yard line, Jackson leapt over a Syracuse defender at the seven for a shockingly smooth score.

As long as Jackson can play like he has in the first two weeks of the 2016 NCAA season, Louisville has a great shot at contending for an ACC Championship and a trip to the third annual College Football Playoff. His teammates will need to play better going forward, but Jackson is something else.
