Who did College GameDay analyst Lee Corso pick for the Virginia Tech vs. Tennessee game on Saturday?

Saturday’s College GameDay went to the Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, TN for a special game. Tennessee and Virginia Tech will be going to battle at this racecar track, which holds up to 153,000 people for events. It should make for a unique setting for the Volunteers and Hokies to play at, even more so than LSU vs. Wisconsin from Lambeau Field in Week 1.

A tradition of these College GameDay events is ESPN analyst Lee Corso’s headgear picks. It takes places in the last moments of the show and is always a spectacle to see. He’ll wear the school’s mascot head that he picks, or use props that are a bit off the wall. This has included guns when he’s in Oklahoma, dogs for Georgia, and more.

Last Saturday, Corso missed his pick for LSU vs. Wisconsin. He would pick the Tigers, but they lost 16-14, leaving him at 0-1 to start the season.

So, at the Bristol Motor Speedway, Corso made his pick for Tennessee vs. Virginia. Which team’s headgear did he wear?

Once again, Corso made his Tennessee selection in grand fashion with this one. His antics are always comical and a focal point of the show.

After Tennessee’s rocky start in Week 1, they may need an impressive showing on Saturday evening. Barely squeaking by Appalachian State isn’t going to do them much, and could be a sign of what’s to come against Virginia Tech. The Hokies will be a tougher opponent, so can they hold up against them?
