He will have his work cut out for him against a typically solid Crystal Palace back four.

Crystal Palace can’t score. That’s what it has come down to for the past year. So far this season, they have managed one goal in three games and sit in 17th place in the table. The arrival of Christian Benteke from Liverpool and Loic Remy from Chelsea must change that, or manager Alan Pardew may soon be out of a job. Remy, however, has already picked up an injury and will miss the game, which means the pressure is squarely on Benteke to deliver. The Belgian is certainly capable, as demonstrated by his impressive record for a terrible Aston Villa side. His new team will also play to his strengths in a way Liverpool never did, so there are reasons to be optimistic for Palace fans.
