Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban gave a sarcastic response when asked about his blowup with offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin.

The Alabama Crimson Tide defeated Western Kentucky fairly comfortably on Saturday. The Tide weren’t without their own faults however. Backup quarterback Blake Barnett struggled when he got time on the field and he didn’t look good at all. The biggest moment came at the end of the game, when an Alabama fumble led to a touchdown from Western Kentucky. After the Crimson Tide gave up their first touchdown of the season, head coach Nick Saban took Lane Kiffin to task for the call that led to the fumble.

He didn’t just yell at Kiffin either. He paced back and forth like a madman and made sure that Kiffin was well aware of what he did. It was yet another classic Saban moment on the field. After the game, Saban decided to have a little fun with reporters and gave a sarcastic response when asked about the blowup and acted like nothing happened at all.

Him blowing up at Kiffin really isn’t that big of a deal, but it was kind of funny to watch in real time. The Tide were up big, but Saban coaches until the very end in every game. He’s a coach that will blow up even if he’s up 28 in the National Championship Game. As for Kiffin, his penance was a swift one.

The good news is he will know not to run that play next week. The Crimson Tide will be taking on the Ole Miss Rebels, in what should be a great test for them. The Tide have struggled with Ole Miss the last couple of seasons.
