A look at how to watch Saturday’s college football game between the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks and the Oklahoma Sooners.
Week 2 of the college football season kicks off on Saturday afternoon, and will see a full slate of games. The action won’t be as packed as Week 1, especially with all the ranked teams that are playing low-end FBS teams. One of those will see No. 14 Oklahoma host Wisconsin.
Oklahoma’s Week 1 game had arguably been the shocker of the weekend. This saw then No. 15 Houston take down the No. 3 Sooners, who were expected to be a major player throughout the college football season. Now, they’ll need plenty to go their way for the next three months if the College Football Playoff is still in their sights. They may need to win out, which will be difficult with Texas, Ohio State, Baylor, and Oklahoma State among the teams left on the schedule.
To move things in a positive direction, Oklahoma will need a solid performance from quarterback Baker Mayfield again. Despite the loss, he still threw for 323 yards and two touchdowns against the Cougars. The rushing game mostly disappeared, though, with running backs only tallying up 70 yards on 26 carries. That can’t happen in Week 2, even against Louisiana-Monroe.
It wouldn’t be surprised to see Bob Stoops’ squad come out firing in this game, potentially routing the Warhawks, who won their first game over the Southern Jaguars.
