Here’s how to watch Saturday’s non-conference matchup between the Idaho Vandals and Washington Huskies.

The No. 8 Washington Huskies will look to continue their rise up the rankings with a win against the Idaho Vandals on Saturday at Husky Stadium.

Washington rolled over Rutgers 49-13 to open the season, earning its first top 10 ranking in 15 years. While the Scarlet Knights weren’t the toughest opponent, the Huskies still looked sharp and have to be thrilled with the two-touchdown performance from receiver John Ross, who missed the entire 2015 season.

Even with the easy victory, Washington had room for improvement, particularly from promising sophomore running back Myles Gaskin. Things look good on the other side of the ball for the Huskies, as Elijah Qualls and the rest of the defensive line manhandled the Scarlet Knights.

Idaho opened its penultimate season in the FBS with a 20-17 win over a solid FCS squad in Montana State. Aaron Duckworth piled up 15 carries for 112 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Vandal offense.

Quarterback Matt Linehan has been effective enough at times in the past, but will need a lot of help to move the ball against the Washington defense. While Idaho’s defense was expected to be a major weakness, it acquitted itself well against Montana State and will look for more bright spots on Saturday.

The Huskies look like Pac-12 contenders after generating plenty of hype in the offseason, and it would be a major shock to see a letdown this Saturday. Idaho might actually have a shot at a bowl game thanks to a very soft schedule, but don’t expect one of the required wins to come against Washington.
