Winner 2: Arkansas Razorbacks (NR to No. 24)

Everyone knew that TCU had a tough time playing defense in a Week 1 victory over South Dakota State, but playing a team in Arkansas that had just escaped a contest against Louisiana Tech with a 21-20 victory didn’t seem like much of a threat. The Razorbacks were struggling to take care of inferior opponents to start the season yet again.

However, Bret Bielema’s confidence in his team never wavered and he led the Razorbacks into Fort Worth looking for a big upset over the 15th-ranked Horned Frogs.

The game looked to be over after TCU scored the go-ahead touchdown with just over five minutes left and then added another score to take a 28-20 lead with two minutes left at home. Texas A&M transfer Kenny Hill was having a heck of a day for the Horned Frogs and Arkansas’ defense couldn’t seem to slow him down.

However, an Austin Allen touchdown pass with a minute left followed by a two-point conversion tied the game up at 28. The ensuing kickoff led to a huge return for TCU’s KaVontae Turpin deep inside Arkansas territory, but a blocked field goal at the end of regulation saved the day.

The Razorbacks went on to win in double-overtime thanks to a QB keeper by Allen and the seemingly disappointing start to the year has turned into a No. 24 ranking for Arkansas.
