Antonio Brown torched the Redskins for a touchdown just two plays after almost fumbling it.
Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good. Of course, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is fortunate because he’s a bit of both. Brown is the best receiver in the NFL, bar none. However, he did get a tad bit lucky because a very close play was ruled an incomplete pass instead of a fumble. Two plays later, Brown proved why he’s one of the best in the league by burning the Washington Redskins for a touchdown on a fourth down.
That was quite the courageous call by the Steelers on fourth down. Give some props to Ben Roethlisberger. He quickly realized that the Redskins were planning for a run with a stacked box, so he made sure to get a deep pass to Brown. Washington had to compensate a bit because the Steelers were having success with their short passes. Brown made them pay.
In order to maximize their potential this season, the Steelers offense must continue to be aggressive. They need to put up points fast and even with a few suspensions, they have what it takes to do that. Forcing teams to play catch-up could be beneficial for their relatively young defense.

Brown has 7,093 receiving yards with 38 touchdowns in his first six seasons. He was drafted by the Steelers in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Many teams passed on him, but now those same teams are hoping that they didn’t. Brown is a four-time Pro Bowler and two-time First Team All-Pro member. He also led the NFL in receiving yards in 2014.
The pressure is on Brown to produce this season with an otherwise unimpressive receiving core. It appears that Brown welcomes that pressure and could thrive in it. Watch out NFL, you’re on notice.
