After a wild Week 1 in the National Football League, we double back to see who had the right picks, and who was a chump.

Everybody loves to scream out their picks and underdog choices when it comes to the NFL, but nobody likes to face the music when things went awry. Here at FanSided, that’s part of the fun.

Here’s the rundown of who was making the selections:

  • Jim Cavan: FanSided Editor-In-Chief
  • Patrick Allen: FanSided VP of Content
  • Mike Dyce: FanSided Senior Director of Editorial Operations
  • Matt Verderame: FanSided NFL Editor and Expert
  • Josh Hill: FanSided.com editor
  • Kayla Knierim: FanSided video personality
  • Tyler Brooke: FanSided editorial staff
  • Patrick Schmidt: FanSided’s Entertainment and College Football Editor
  • Mia Khalifa: Celebrity and sports superfan
  • Sports Asylum: Our loyal readers and commenters on all things sports

How did it go? Let’s take a look…

Verderame is the expert here and should have the best handle on the proceedings, and yet proved why he needs to be fired. He somehow went with the New York Jets, who should have won if not for a blocked 22-yard field goal and a missed extra point. Still, fool.

Allen had a hell of a week but lost his mind briefly, going with the Bills. What? Khalifa gave a strong showing, getting a few upsets right with the Oakland Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. She also just missed the biggest upset of the week with the San Diego Chargers falling apart late.

Records

Cavan: 10-6
Allen: 11-5
Dyce: 9-7
Verderame: 7-9
Hill: 11-5
Knierim: 11-5
Brooke: 10-6
Schmidt: 8-8
Khalifa: 10-6
SA: 11-5
