Rams at 49ers: 3 things we learned
What three things stuck out the most from the Los Angeles Rams embarrassing themselves against the San Francisco 49ers?
The second Monday Night Football game of the night between the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers was not the high point of football. The Rams absolutely embarrassed themselves in their return and it was a sight to behold. The 49ers didn’t do anything spectacular on offense, but their defense looked sharp.
In the end, the 49ers let the Rams implode on the field among a wild scene and took full advantage. This was not a good night for the Rams and now there are going to be a lot of questions going forward. The 49ers aren’t without their questions as well, but sanity has made them look like the beacon of maturity on the field.
3. The Rams are going off the rails on a crazy train
The Rams simply have no discipline at all on the field. This is not surprising for a Jeff Fisher team, but the scene on Monday night, was embarrassing to say the least. There were scuffles on the field, their best player in Aaron Donald got ejected and Fisher looked befuddled. If this is the team that’s going to make a move, they’re going to need a lot of help.
They have the youngest roster in football and it’s clear that they’re incredibly immature at this time. They need to grow up real fast or this season is going to go south in a hurry. They will play their first game at home against the Seahawks on Sunday.
2. Kevin Harlan is the greatest of all time
While Los Angeles was imploding on the field, Kevin Harlan turned himself into a legend on the radio side of things. A fan ran onto the field during the game and while most announcers don’t give it attention, Harlan was starved to call a highlight play on the night. He called the fans run around the field in epic fashion and will forever stake his claim on this call. It’s incredible to say the least.

1. Jared Goff has the weight of the world on his shoulders
Whether it’s fair to him or not, Jared Goff has the weight of the world on his shoulders after the meltdown on the road by Case Keenum. Even if the team feels he isn’t ready at all, they cannot go forward without giving Goff a try. They gave up too much just to sit him and watch the team go in the tank. However, it’s going to be tough for him because the team looks so bad that there are going to be lofty expectations for him to produce.
