The NFL has unveiled the Color Rush uniforms for this year’s Thursday Night Football games, and Twitter users went in with their responses.

The NFL is doing what it can to promote Thursday Night Football this season despite some less than stellar matchups. In order to do so, the league is bringing back the Nike Color Rush uniforms they began unveiling last season.

Unlike last year, all 32 teams are getting Color Rush uniforms. Some are pretty cool and some are pretty bad, but everyone can agree that this is a pretty obvious cash grab by the NFL to try and sell some more merchandise.

What isn’t surprising is the fact that everyone has an opinion about the Color Rush threads. A number of people took to Twitter to talk about the uniforms. ESPN business correspondent Darren Rovell tweeted out a picture of all 32 uniforms, with some standing out more than others.

Benjamin Allbright from CBS Sports wasn’t afraid to call out the NFL for trying to sell as much merchandise as possible.

While some fans liked the jerseys, while others, like Aaron Schatz from Football Outsiders, aren’t exactly thrilled about them.

Green Bay Packers fans were really curious to see what kind of Color Rush uniforms they would get since they’re typically pretty traditional with their jerseys. Of course, the Packers wound up with white ones, although white technically isn’t a color.

Meanwhile, others are confused as to why teams like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons have nearly identical jerseys despite playing each other on the same Thursday night. The Patriots-Texans and 49ers-Cardinals uniforms are also similar.

In order to combat some of these problems, several teams have already announced that they will be wearing white uniforms instead of the Color Rush ones, including the Cleveland Browns.

Twitter is always up in arms about something, but these Color Rush uniforms created more buzz on social media than usual.
