San Francisco 49ers tight end Vance McDonald caught a touchdown pass to put his team up big on the Los Angeles Rams.

The Los Angeles Rams’ return to the NFL couldn’t have gone much worse on Monday night. Their offense was an absolute disaster and fans were roasting them alive. A fan even ran on the field because things got so bad. With the 49ers just having their way, they put the finishing touches on the Rams with a touchdown pass from Blaine Gabbert to Vance McDonald.

After the 49ers had scored their previous two touchdowns on runs, it was good to see Gabbert get a passing touchdown on the board. Chip Kelly has been a big believer in his quarterback and he made a great read to find his tight end for the score.

After the play, McDonald gave the football a spike worthy of his big touchdown. Things would go from to bad to worse for the Rams from there. Aaron Donald would lose his cool and would be ejected from the game. The 49ers would then be set up with great field position from there.

Carlos Hyde would run the ball in for another touchdown. The blowout was on and it was a rude welcome back for the Rams.
