15. Brad Kaaya – QB – Miami Hurricanes

As the son of Angela Means Kaaya, the woman that played Felisha in the movie Friday, Brad Kaaya had an early understanding of living with fame. Now it’s his turn to make a name for himself.

His first year in Coral Gables was a very good one. It started with him being the first true freshman quarterback to start for Miami since Jacory Harris in 2008, and ended with Kaaya passing for 2,962 yards and 25 TDs. He led the ACC in passing efficiency and touchdowns, which earned him conference Rookie of the Year honors.

Kaaya’s second year was another success story, even though he only threw 16 TDs. Despite the decreased scores, Kaaya threw for more yards with 3,238. He also threw fewer interceptions with five (compared to the 11 he had in 2014). Once again, Kaaya had a very efficient season and it led to him being named to the All-ACC team.

If Kaaya can improve his play under pressure and his deep ball accuracy, there’s no reason for him not to be a first-round draft pick. He reads the field very well and is a good height at 6-foot-4. If he continues to get better, especially as a pro, then Brad could become the first Miami Hurricane since Ray Lewis to appear on the cover of Madden NFL.
